T O P I C R E V I E WswampysWhat value does the ruler have? Do you use degrees for this? I'm assuming this is more advanced. Luckily, I've seemed to grasp astrology pretty well so far, and hope to learn new things quickly. I'd like to get as much as I can out of my natal chart, so can you list the ways of doing this? Lotis White said earlier that "Your 5th house ruler is Jupiter in Scorpio" about my chart. Jupiter is in Scorpio in my chart, but in the third house. Capricorn is in my fifth house, and Uranus and Neptune are the two planets there. So what I really want to know is how they got that my 5th house ruler is Jupiter in Scorpio when on my chart Capricorn is under the 5th house.Tofu addictwhy don't you post your chart, easier to answer Tofu addictDepending what house system one uses, this can make a difference in rulers.swampys quote:Originally posted by Tofu addict:why don't you post your chart, easier to answer Lotis White quote:Originally posted by swampys: Hi swampys,Look at the house labelled '5' on your chart. Your 5th house starts in the sign Sagittarius. A lot of the sign Capricorn falls into the 5th house, but it starts actually in the late degrees of Sagittarius. The ruler of a house, is defined as the planet ruling the sign on the cusp. With Sagittarius on the 5th house cusp, Jupiter, as the ruler of Sagittarius, is the ruler of your 5th house. The ruler of the sign actually on the cusp is considered the ruler of that house. And, yes, we use degrees for house rulers. With your Jupiter at 13 degrees Scorpio, people with planets also at around 13 degrees would be considered to be aspecting your 5th house ruler.swampys quote:Originally posted by Lotis White: Hi swampys,Look at the house labelled '5' on your chart.
